Refrigeration and air-conditioning simplifies everyday life. Refrigerants are indispensable in various sectors; from the air-conditioning of buildings through to refrigeration in food processing and cooling of data centers. However, refrigeration and air-conditioning equipment often contains climate-damaging fluorinated gases (F-gases). The brochure, "Natural refrigerants for climate-friendly cooling technologies" explains how and why F-gas-containing refrigerants can have harmful effects on the climate and additionally, offers its readers information on natural alternatives to F-gases. Furthermore, the brochure highlights best practice case studies from Bavaria, in which natural climate-friendly refrigerants have been used successfully in commercial refrigeration systems.
