These increasingly high temperatures are particularly difficult for certain groups of people. Older people in particular are less able to cope with heat. The purpose of this booklet is therefore to provide you – as a family carer – with information about how heat affects the body, what risk factors you should bear in mind and which health problems you may encounter in hot weather. You will also learn what you can do to protect your own health and the health of your loved ones.
